Did you remove the engine TM? I would also look at a higher shift point. Other than that I am not sure what else can be done. you could quicken up the shifts, I set mine in 1st to .150 and in 2-3rd to .125. Also up the line pressure a bit and it should shift quick and snappy, if thats what your looking for.
No I didn't remove the TM. I'll give what you said a try. I just received the S/W and will get it set up tonight. Thanks for the input!
I really honestly do not really understand what you mean by keeping the RPM from falling off during a shift???
With a higher stall converter there is less RPM drop off between shifts.
vortec350, this isn't in my truck. It's a friend of mine. It's stock and doesn't have a stall in it. He just wants a 93 octane tune. The RPM's drop off a little when it changes gear and he's not happy with it. I never had that problem out of my 97.
I think you can try to remove all of the TM in it, but what your talking about can only be cured with a higher stall TC. Raising the shift points will help some, but not alot.
Chris
a RPM drop is inherant because of the gear change
I'm guessing you mean an "excessive" rpm drop?
if so then kill engine torque management (don't do the same on the tranny if it's stock). Speed up the shift timing and maybe bump up the pressure a tad.
Sounds like the torque convertor is staying locked between gears. I unlocked my convertor between shifts to keep the RPM up.

Yes, exactly. I'm trying to get the S/W loaded and then I'll start playing. I appreciate the feedback from you guys. :thumb:
