i want to say 3/16 brass barb but im not %100 on that. someone will correct me if wrong. let the truck cool completely. pull the hoses from each side of the throttle body and place the barb in between. 2 small hose clamps on each side and presto! make sure its not guna get in the way of your throttle linkage if your using a cable throttle body. if you live where it gets below freezing this mod isnt suggested.
Thanks, i live in GA so i shouldnt have to worry about it because it doesnt too often get below freezing and gets decently hot in the summer.
i did it tonight, but found that the 5/16 worked good, 3 dollars for everything and i can swear i felt a small diffrence in some areas but maybe its just mental who knows, but thanks for the help

most likely just mental gain, but it never hurts to know that you dont have that hot coolant running through the throttle body. I just ran the hose to the other side on mine, its a tight fit, but will hold until I buy a longer hose.
Chris
I just used the 5/16 to 5/16 brass fitting and used two hose clamps and it sits nicely under the throttle body and looks looks clean and not rigged so im happy with it, but your right it probaly is mental for the most part, but knowing theres no hot coolant running through it is a plus like you said
yeah i hope to clean up how mine looks lol, I just was lazy and didnt feel like going back to Advance Auto to find the parts. I had just got done changing my valve cover gaskets, and i just wanted to sleep :)
