ive heard that the dex cool is not good to leave in your truck cause of corrosion. any of you guys flush & fill with the green or should i just not worry about it till after warranty? thanks :thumb:

I wouln't worry about going to green. If you din't get all of the dex cool out and they mixed you would have a big mess of jel-0.
GM went to dex cool for a reason right.
I have green in my truck its cheaper. I had my motor torn all the way down.
They have a new coolant that replaces the green and dexcool and it will blend with the dexcool without gelling.
You can flush the system and then add the green coolant. The dexcool is notorious for damage caused by electrolysis.
Green all the way in mine! Been through two flushes, one at the first year i used it and the other at cam change. No problems to date!

thanks for the info, ive seen some corrosion around the rad cap on my prev 99 s10 zr2, and heard that the dexcool is corosive, i know GM switched for a reason , but i just want the best in my truck like everybody else. :thumb:
