Hooking up my guages and have a few questions,
I have heard to just splice into the VSS and not run it through the gauge because it gives the wrong signal to the pcm, what should I do here?
Can I splice into the factory oil pressure signal or what do I need to do to get this signal?
You can splice into the oil pressure wire. I thought the PCM speedo output is 4000 PPM, just what you need for the speedo.
Where can I get the correct adapter for the coolant sensor, I thought you could drill out the plug and tap it but it looks to small, where can I get an adapter or what can i do?
for the coolant sensor, you'll need to use the other hole in the other head or use a special part from the ls1 manual install book, email me and that will remind me to get you the part number, it's only 10$ and works, it is a three wire sensor, the wires are:Quote:

Alright one more question, which wires are for the gauge lighting on the stock connector to the cluster so I can wire in the Autometers to be dimmable like stock. Also where in that area is a good source for ignition power? the fuse block on the firewall right there or what?
I would run a 12 or 14 gauge wire and fuse it then run it to the cluster. I know there are power wires in the dash, and you can probably find them, either way will work.
On the dimmer, i think you could just use that power wire to power the guages, i don't think it would be too much for the stock dimmer,
