I've been wondering what kind of work would be involved is sawapping a LS1 into my truck. its a 1990 chevy 5.7tbi. if i find an engine/tranny combo with all accessories and wiring harness, what else is left. i'm not sure if i need the tranny that came with the LS1 or would my 700r4 possibly work? would i need new/custom motor mounts? just trying to figure out the cost/headaches invloved :bash:. buying the engine and all is the easy part. thanks
