4.3 NBS to LS1 parts info needed

Alright lets say i can get LS1 complete with 4l60e, pcm, brackets and accessories what else would i need and is it a difficult swap for a novice like myself? its going into a 00 sierra and want to get everything i might need to make swap easier and quicker. From what ive read ill need a better fuel pump, bigger radiator fans, fuel filter with inline pressure regulator? can i reuse the driveshaft or is it recommended to get something else? My main concern is the wiring and im hesitant to start ripping stuff up without knowing what im getting myself into. I just need to know what works best and would make the swap easier. just give me a part and where i can get it and ill do it. Thanks for the help and please enlighten me.

Sergio...Man Oh Man, would that be a shoe-in if your truck already had a V-8 in it! It would bolt right in, part for part, connection for connection & all you would have to do is have the truck computer re-programmed. I think you could even use the original V-8 harness with minor changes, if any at all. BUT...since you are starting with a V-6 truck, it is a bit more work. The engine and tranny should still bolt right in, using the newer V-8 engine block mounts. Buy & install the newer('99 & up) V-8 engine/transmission harness. Make sure to make note of the transmission shift cable bracket & its location. You will need the trucks transmission cable bracket for sure. Exhaust could be utilized from a standard '99 & up V-8 truck as well. You can use the V-6 radiator. I think you will need the F-body dual electric fans. You will also need to dream up a air intake/MAF/air filter set-up. It's work, but the end result will be awesome. Gat

Isn't the 4.8/5.3/6.0 truck intake manifold generally better than the LS1 intake from the f-body?

In an all-around world the LS1 intake is superior. The truck intake allow a minute amount more torque at low end. The LS6 intake gives an additional 15+ hp over the LS1 intake. The LS2 intake is designed for a 6.0 engine and only works good on it. It's a waste on anything else.
