Bigger alternator for E-fans

I recently purchased a 34" Radiator, 05' E-fans, and a Nelson Harness. But, I read somewhere that you might need a bigger alternator?
I have no clue on this.
The only thing i got goin for me is a Optima Yellow Top Deep Cycle.

You definitely will need the 130 or larger for the '05 fans, also get the larger belt before you get back from the store.... :eek: :whack:

Do a search, some one already listed out the parts for the upgrade....

Should i go aftermarket or get a bigger Delphi Alternator from a dealership?

Don't quote me, but I head the only differance between the 105 and the 130 was the pully size. Does any body know if this is true?

I have heard if you put the smaller alternator pulley on you will get better amperage because it is turning faster, on the other hand it is also turning like a friggin' work horse....

The casing size is different on the 105 & 130. And the puley size also. I had to replace my 105 on my '01 Silvy after it puked :puke: on a Friday on the way home from work. Get an AC Delco, the other 2 from the parts stores shit on the way to the parts store, less than 10 miles new..... :bash:

False info. The unit is larger and requires a longer belt.

E-fans require a larger alternator.

Are the amperages I recall available.

I called G and R Autoparts, where i bought my e-fans and radiator from. They had a 145 amp alternator for sale off a 2003 tahoe and they want like $100 for it. This seems like a good deal being that the guy said it has only 2 miles on it and guaranties it to work.
What would you guys do? as far as brand and amperage?

Sounds like a good deal, how long is the gaurantee? Get a picture of the exact unit you would be buying. They ar very reputible. A rebuilt AC Delco 145 around here is above $180 with 1 yr warrenty.
