What frame/motor mounts do I buy or need for this swap? Which bell housing do I swap out on my stock 4l60e trans. That came in the pickup to complete the marriage? Any help in this is greatly appreciated as I am a newbie to this.

Dirty Dingo 1 inch setback motor mounts. http://www.dirtydingo.com/shop/index.php?cPath=359_362
Your trans will "bolt" right up.
You have LOTS of research to do my friend. Biggest issue with your stock trans is controlling it with the LS engine harness. All my do diligence has been for a 89 with a 700r4 (I plan on doing engine/trans swap together from LS donor).
You can buy 1in setback motor mount plates that you bolt your current mounts to. It's what I am running without any issue.
As for the transmission, it will bolt up, but there will be a bolt hole or two that will not line up. If you have an ls bellhousing you can swap them out. Make sure you are using metric ls bellhousing bolts. The originals in your truck will thread in, but they are sae. You will also need a crankshaft extender in order for the torque converter to seat correctly onto the flex plate.
You will not have an issue controlling a 97 4l60e with the ls engine harness as the pins are the same. I reworked my original harness, rather than using a brand new one. Either way will work, but both will take time.
you will need this spacer for the trans...

On my 96 swap I still had space between the 4.8 flexplate and torque convertor... Got longer bolts and used washers to shim up the space... also make sure you elongate the 3 flexplate to torque converter holes so that you can bolt it to the converter... best to do this with the flexplate off so you can hold it up to the converter to make sure it will line up
