What is the best 4L80 flex plate when upgrading from a 4L60 to a 4L80? I'll be using an LQ4 block and would like a STRONG flexplate. Thanks in advance.

research pointed me to the TCI sfi one
circle D sells one thats pretty badass for more money
Which tc are you going to be using? I just bought the 278mm tc and they told me to use my 60e flexplate as the 278mm tc is based off of the 3 bolt 60e tc.
get on tci's site, there is a specific one for the 60e and 80e. I recommend tci, never had an issue with it. Really ensures you're a little safer if your truck is gonna make power.
Got it, and what about this spacer I keep hearing about? From what I have researched, there is some mention of needing a spacer between the crank and flexplate in order to properly mesh with the starter's teeth. Also, Alan, people tell me you make a conversion wiring harness for swapping from a 4L60 to 4L80. Is that right?
I'm leaning toward this one:

thats one i got i do believe
I'm still a bit confused about this 'internal vs. external balance' thing. What is that all about? Also, do I need a 168 tooth flexplate? I'm more trying to get a flexplate I can just bolt in and go with.
