Crossmember help....
Hi, new to the swapping world learning but haven't learned it all yet. I have a 2wd '84c-10, swapping in a '01 ls1 5.7 with a 4l60e transmission. Going fuel injected. I'm done with my suspension. Next is dropping in my power train. I have motor mount adapter plates from schwanke short blocks, to utilize my original location of motor mounts and clam shells ,but here's my question and I can't seem to find a clear answer. 1. With the adapter plates putting the engine in my factory location, will that mean that my 4l60e mount up to the original transmission crossmember location? 2. Will I need to move back or forward my crossmember, by drilling new mounting points for the crossmember? 3. Do I need a transmission mount , and where can I get it if needed? Again please weigh in if you mean to help. This is my first swap. My first build. Thankeep you in advanced.

I'll see if I can help here.
1-you will need to have 1" setback mounts to keep the trans in it's original location and avoid changing driveshafts.
2-did your truck already have a 700-r4? If so the 4l60 should use the same holes and go right in. I believe. Someone else may want to confirm this.
3-energy suspension # 3.1108g for the mount. Autozone stocks them and they are cheap.

On your frame there are mutiple crossmember bolt holes from the factory to choose from. There will be no need to drill new holes in your frame. ^^dido on the tranny mount
