a lot of times you pick up some false knock reading with the under drive pulleys and end up losing power. You'll usually get good results but sometime you don't. Reducing the rotating mass is a step in the right direction. If you have an auto, get a smaller diameter/lighter weight convertor. You don't have many options for lighter flywheels or clutches. You can take a flywheel to a machine shop and have them lighten it but then it's weaker and you must have it rebalanced. The LS1 F-body guys have an aluminum flywheel you can purchase but DAMN they're pricey. Then again, a good quality convertor is going to cost you about $800.
The $250 is better spent elsewhere. Toward some full length headers, a used cam, etc. You're looking at maybe 10rwhp...
I have them on both of my trucks and really like them. I baught them used however.
There's a fluid damper brand listed on Ebay for $115.00. That's cheap enough to toss if it gives you problems. They guy has them listed all the time.
I do believe they help a lil probably 10 rwhp. I use to have a set before the Procharger. In some cases I've seen them make truck battery die, but I didnt never have a problem with mine. They are a lil high priced for no more of a gain they give you but hey 10 h.p. is 10 h.p. you didnt have before. GOO FOR ITT :burnout:
That's cheap for the power gain. Peeps are paying $400+ for LS6 intakes just to gain 15hp. $115 for 10HP is cheap. :thumb:
