Need some turbo insight...apologize up front for any redundant questions

I am trying to get back in the game. I have a 92 swb that I have swapped a 5.3/T56 into.
Specs of the truck are in my sig.
I have always planned on adding a turbo, but life required priorities to be shifted away from the truck for a while.
I have no specific goal with the truck, but primarily enjoy doing things that aren't common on every vehicle you see driving up and down the road.
I would like to get to 500 hp + if possible, but maintain decent street manners.
I have been reading a fair amount, but the level of information is eye crossing, thus my questions.
-I have had in mind a single 70mm set up. I don't have a specific brand in mind, but lean toward magnum. Is there a particular trim, ar etc that you guys with some experience, would recommend.
-In the past a 40mm wastegate was recommended. Does that sound reasonable.
-what would you recommend for a blow off valve?
-will 100lb injectors be sufficient?
-truck has a walbro 255 which I expect to be ok. Am I correct in my thinking there?
-I will be doing the fab work myself. Is is necessary to run hot side exhaust into the turbo from both manifolds, or is one manifold sufficient?

The first part is how I feel also. Lots of good question. Many that I have myself. I think the injectors and fuel pump will be sufficient. You could possibly go smaller with the injectors. And yes, you do have to run both exhaust to the turbo. I was told once but forgot. Not much from me but I hope it helps.

Ok, since we're talking LS engines and they are v8's, what LS v8 engine doesn't use both sides of the engine (both manifolds) to spool the turbo?

Not talking about just LS engines. Some manufactures like Saab(GM) and their 54 degree v6 used a single turbo on bank 1. I believe this was the same Catera/early CTS NA-engine.

How do you like that 222/224 cam? Any videos of your truck running?

I really like the cam. I will try to get some sound of the truck running.
I hope it works ok with a turbo. I don't mind changing, but would like to leave the cam as is for now.

I will supply exhaust from both banks to the turbo. I know of some other makes that don't use both, but figured it best to use both. Just making sure I wasn't wasting time.

On my set up with a 72mm Magnum Turbo, 40mm wategate, 50mm BOV, 340 aeromotive stealth fuel pump and 60# injectors. This is my hot side plumbing-it aint pretty haha but I made 530hp and 630ft*lb with this set up with my old 5.3l. That was also with the TU1 cam and .660 trick flow springs. I am not an expert, but this got me in the power range your looking for. Hope that helps a bit.

i ran a T56 5.3 setup, ran well but FYI the manual route is going to be a rough and expensive path.....it may seem cheap at the moment but sure isnt

also have to look at what you want from truck in long term as for power. a 70mm may be fine today but how will it be tomorrow when your bored?

From all my research, people love the on3 76 mm eBay turbo. Not sure if your on a budget or not but there are plenty of people making good power with a turbo in the 76-80 mm range (5-750 HP to the wheels) on both 4.8 and 5.3's
Another I see a lot is a pt80 and s400 and s475.
I would go with a larger turbo, and adjust the boost for your power goals. Then when you get bored, just turn it up or add/change a spring in your bov.
