NV3500?if so, You can use the 4.8l one, BUT, it hits the block right? I had a flexplate that came with the engine for an auto, i knocked the center spacer from it and used it to space my flywheel away from the block.
I'm swapping a 6.0 into a k5 blazer. I used a 4.8 flywheel. I made up the difference by having a spacer made to go over my throw out bearing and a insert that holds my pilot bushing where it needs to be. My neighbor works at a machine shop so he made the parts for me.
I thought it was a nv3500 but its not cause i got the 4.8 flywheel and pressure plate was off by a bit...Idk what flywheel to use i guess mine is the getrag or something like that
How was it off a bit? I have a 5.3 with a 5 speed in my 1992 with a 4.8 flywheel and clutch setup and everything works fine. Unless the LS1 crank is different at the flywheel. I know some of the earlier 6.0 's had a different crank that the manual flywheel wouldn't work.
