ive got an '04 1500 4x4 with a tired motor and tranny. ive found a wrecked 2004 2500 4x4 with a 6.0l/4l80e. i would like to know if it is possible to do a direct swap and if my transfer case is compatible? or any combination of parts that would work?
Motor is direct swap. Tranny you will need to modify the harness for the 4l80 to work and also modify the trans crossmember. The trasfer case needs the input shaft replaced to one of the 80e style.
I have a quick question. I am looking to replace the 5.3/4l60 2wd setup in my truck. I found a 6.0/4l80 combo also out of a 2wd. What all would I need to do the swap? He said he will give me all the wiring, accessories, computer and everything.
