I bought a harness and programmed PCM, got it in the truck and running.. It is in a 1998 2 wheel drive tahoe, when i did the install I unpinned all the AC and Fuel Gauge wires from my old harness and pinned them into the correct pins onto the new harness with the PCM.. I have no fuel gauge and the AC will not turn on.. I bypassed everything and put 12V to the AC compressor and it engages .. when these pcm's are programmed can the programming for the ac and fuel gauge be left out??
Can't answer your A/C question. The Gen3 calibration in its unaltered form will not run a 98 fuel gauge. It needs to be altered in the tune. Most softwares don't have that parameter. Ask your tuner if his software can set it up for the 98 fuel gauge.

in regards to the pcm; be sure hi and low pressure switches are working and wired properly. Be sure the pcm is receiving the signals.
Without them, the pcm will not engage the compressor.
ok, here's where I feel like a dip$hit..... the ac had been charged, but a switch was bad. now that it has pressure it's working as it should, now I will need to get the fuel gauge parameter's changed in the PCM and I'll be good to go.....
My tuner said he would make the changes if I could find out what the parameters needed to be changed to..do you guys know what those are
