Junkyard replaced my Beloved Silverado's rear end With  a one legger with a bent axle to replace the :burnout: Dead rear end witha a g80 in a lot of peices  , I took it back, bitched :tantrum: about the right rear wobbling going down the road and the fact that I now no longer have a locking diff :grr: , and they said they will replace it if I can prove it came with a G80, other wise they will just stick an axle in the rear end thats in my truck now, They say only 4x4s have locking or limited slip diffs from the factory and that I am trying to take advantage of them! :bs: and they say the brake rotor on that side with the bent axle wil be fine :bs:
Does the Vin# Show If It has a G80, :duh:
is there a sticker or something in the glovebox?
Any thoughts?

The glove box shows all your RPO codes and if you did have the locker stock it would show the G80 code on that sticker. If the sticker is gone go to a dealer and have them print the RPO codes for your truck from the VIN, for free. Good luck.

Don't hurt them until they get the work done... :bash: :bash: :bash:
Make sure they don't just put a housing in and reset the gears, you want a housing and gears as a unit so they won't howl in the future. Mark the old housing and take a picture to ensure they do trade it all out. Get 'em!!!!!

I'd rather have an open diff than a G80. G80s suck, then you can replace it with an actual LSD and not worry about it breaking in the mean time.
