Power to the Gauges
Good day,
I've got a couple gauges hooked up, now I just need to get them power so they light up!! I tried every open slot on my interior fuse panel (and some spots that already had a fuse) and cannot get the gauges to receive power. Where can I find a power source for these gauges to power up when the truck is started?
Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to the site. A good question but here's one for you:
What kind of truck do you have and what year is it? Does it have the original engine or a swap? Original gauge package or aftermarket? Some infomation about what you have will help us nail down a solution for you.

Thanks Mickey, Here's some background info:
2011 GMC Sierra 1500 original 5.3L vortec
Mods: LT Headers, 3" exhaust, k&n intake, diablo sport inTuner. Waiting to install COMP cam, valve springs, trunion kit for rockers, and pushrods.
I've got an aftermarket boost gauge and wideband A/F gauge that I need to get power to. The reason for the boost gauge is that I will be supercharging it in the future.

I've been in there with a multimeter and every fuse has power running through it with the key out of the ignition. I cannot find one that only applies power when the ignition is turned on...

ok, I bought an "ad a line" fuse from autozone so it's not all ghetto looking. I'm still dealing with constant power being applied when the ignition is off. Even the fuse box under the hood is constantly supplying voltage to the fuses.

Alright guys, My eyes betrayed me.
In the fuse panel under the hood is a 10A fuse for MISC IGN. I added the "add a line" fuse from autozone and crimped in the power wires for my 2 gauges. All is good to go. The gauges power off when the vehicle is turned off and power up with the ignition is turned. Case closed...
I sure know how to make things difficult on myself.
