The Vanilla Gorilla! LQ4, xt80, 97' RCSB Chevy on Propane!

Thought I'd post up some pic's of my turbo propane truck project. This is mostly cut and paste from my LS1tech.com thread. It's a 97' Chevy 2wd RCSB originally a 4.3l/4l60 truck. Here are the specs:
2003 6.0l LQ4 with unknown miles
Z06 cam and springs
Vic jr intake + 6010 msd box
Dual Impco 425 mixers with dual Spectre Carb hats
Magnum XT80 turbo 1.15 ar exhaust housing 4" down pipe
th400 3600rpm B&M converter

Got my thermostat issue figured out, wanted a straight outlet instead of the angled housing trucks come with. Took a themostat housing from a 04' Savana Van with a 2 piece housing, cut it, rotated it and welded back together, worked perfect and way cheaper than a csr housing.

Yes, no fuel pump, the tank is pressurized when you fill it, temperture also changes the pressure, same idea as Nitrous just less psi.

Threw it on the scales to see what it weighs, heavier than I thought, but not too bad for a fullsize truck.

Built some adjustable instant center drop hangers for the leafs, I'm also building my own caltrac brackets. Going to install it all once I get the 9" built. Here is a pic of the bracket and one pic of it compared to a beltech drop hanger.

Got it on the dyno tonight, learned acouple things, 1st, propane is awesome! Perfect air/fuel and I havent touched anything yet.2nd no matter how good a b&m converter is, it's still junk. Made 2 pulls first pull 533whp, 15lbs 14* timing, second pull 541whp same 15lbs and 12* total timing. On a dyno dynamics dyno (loaded). It blows through the converter hard, I'm sure there is power to be had with a better converter (My next purchase) 15lbs is as low as it goes so I need to change the spring. I want to setup a IAT sensor so that we can try some different timing and see where the iats are at when I get a better converter.
