I have a 91 gmc that is going to be street legal I have a psi harness and PCM and I was told to keep the stock abs wires turn signals wiper motor etc off my stock wiring harness I just need to know what to keep and what I can delete any help is appreciated
I did this on my 1994 model, I left my entire harness off the 4.3 V6 engine under the hood,, I re used my original wires for the oil pressure and coolant temp and air conditioning , the transmission harness on the stock harness I cut off and all the other plugs that went to the old engine that I did not need I simply cut them off and placed heatshrink on the ends of the wire and tucked them back into the loom on the main harness, this was the easiest way to go for me..........
You can cut all the wire that go to the old PCM.
I started to remove unnecessary wire this morning. Mine is 1994 and 4x4 so it can be different and the job is not finished yet.I need to trace the big black wire if is the vss on my t-case I will remove it too.It contain tow wire inside ppl and green. I will cut it at 6'' of the sensor to splice into because my new harness dont have the same connector.
