youve hit 4th while racing  .ive had 3rd up to 132...i heard wot 4th gear shifts are way harsh on the transmission?
nah drag racin i only hit 3rd but just drivin 1/2 throttle goin fast it hits 4th
I've thought about changing my vette servo for the billet 1-2, billet od and longer pin. It will be awhile before I do it though.
Chris
Was this the pin with no grooves in the tip? If so, it is the longest OE pin available for the 60E. When you installed it, did you check the band clearance? How much did you have?Quote:

I was going to run the long pin w/ my Vette/Billet servos, but during fitment test i thought the band was WAY to tight. Maybe only had 1/16" of wiggle on the drum, if that. Used the new servos of course, but ended up running my stock pin.
Just wondering how your band clearance looked, since you went ahead and ran the long pin :duh:
it was tighter but im not sure the measurement but like suppose the old one went in like 1 inch then this one was like 1/4 like i said i dunno how much excatly .. also it didnt have grooves on it
I just ordered the vette and super 4th servos along with the transgo hd2 shift kit for the Ave, is the longer pin worth it? What does it do?
The longer pin takes up slack on the 2 gear apply band. It's normally not needed unless you have a machined drum or worn band.
With the transgo kit you will get 2 shims for adjusting the band. The longer pin will most likely not be needed. Vince
Awesome thanks guys, the servos will go in first since I most likely can do that one myself, the shift kit may be a few weeks. Does anyone have a good guide to installing the servos?
