Tuning question
Im thinking of getting a tune but not sure if i should wait because all i have on my truck is an exhaust but still want to add alot more to the engine later on so should i just wait? I was thinking about going with a nelson performance tune seeing as how i only live about 90 miles away from them.

i think he offers free retunes.

I should have probably look at the website first. Thanks you anyway nice truck by the way.
-
They offer three free retunes a year plus he can take away your emissions components (rear o2's, egr, etc) for down the road of you decide to do headers and cat delete. Also I thought it wa since that they go ahead and program the computer for the electric fan swap so all you have to do is get the harness and fans when your ready. I love Nelson performance I'm sure you'll be happy with them as well!

Ok so i saw on the website that it is 100 more for highly modified trucks which my truck is not but lets say i get the tune and later i add a turbo or sc or nitrous will they charge extra when i do highly modify it?
-
For what it's worth, I went with Nelson on my green truck, and it's not real heavily modified right now, but they did an awesome job! Love everything about the tune, and would def use them in the future.

Could you feel a difference in the throttle response and in hp/tq?
-
you can feel the difference especially after a couple hundred miles. and if you do anything like cam or boost then send them 100 bucks and they will send you a tune. its worth having them do it instead of buying the software and trying to do it yourself. look around you wont find better in ways of a tuner
-
Either way im going with a nelson tune their reputation alone is worth it in my opinion. And i live so close its pretty much a no brainer.

Oh yes, MAJOR difference in throttle response and hp in my experience. Enjoy the new tune.
