4L60e What stall?

Hey guys,

I just did a cam swap not too long ago, I love the added power that it gave me. But with my burb being as heavy as it is its still a pig off the line till about 3000 rpm.

I want to do a stall but nothing too major. It is my DD so that cannot be affected. I was looking at the TCI Streetfighter which advertises 1500 over stock stall or TCI Breakaway which has a 2400-2600 stall.

What do you guys think? Trans is 100% stock. Ive been hearing a lot of ppl are running yank. Are they any good?

Circle d working great for me. Site sponsor, check em out. Yanks are very good to, but a Lil pricey. Depends on ur budget

I daily drive with a Yank 3600 258mm converter, its not bad at all just run a good cooler.

Im running 3200 from circle d and wish I had gone higher but love it nonetheless.

this! Your trans is probably going to need upgrading soon behind that heavy bus. With a stall the most important thing is a good cooler. The Trucool 40k is a good option. Choosing stall speed will depend greatly on your cam specs, weight of vehicle, size tires/wheels, and other mods. with out knowing anything else I would say a yank 3000 would daily well or if your looking for a lower speed then the 2600 from circle d is a good option. Your very best bet? Call circle d specialties and hash it out with them.

talked to chris at circle d and he recommended the 2600 for the weight of the tank but that my cam would love the extra rpms from the 3000. But my tuner said I shouldnt go any higher than a 2800 so I think imma just go with the 2600 from circle d. looks like a lot of people are running circle d and I havnt found any issues reported with quality or anything. also will be running the tru cool 40K in stock trans cooler location. Just gotta save my pennies now so I can get both of them. I really need to get a trans temp guage too.
