Rear coils in Suburban
I would like to replace the rear coils in my suburban with 1-2" taller coil springs for lift and heavier duty for towing. I'm getting ready to put some 2.5-3" coils in the front of my Dodge 3500. I'm wondering if the coils out of my Dodge will work in the Suburban. Does anyone know? I haven't measured anything yet so I have not a clue yet but I figure the progressive rate front coils off a diesel powered Dodge would be enough beef to handle the rear of a Suburban with a trailer?

just swap them and see. dont think anyone here ever tried, so you can be the first. if it doesnt work, bring out the welder!

Umm, well I solved ALL of my 1/2 ton woes (power, soft rear suspension, etc). I bought a '10 2500 Suburban 4x4. Can't beat a factory 6.0 with 6spd auto and 3.73s.......Plus it has a leveling kit, 33s on 20" black Rockstars and is all blacked out, and someone left their Airraid intake on it too, suuuuhhhhweeetttt!
