Installing intake and Fuel psi ?

So i am finally gonna install the FAST 102 intake and tb. I checked the surface to make sure that it was going to be flush with the heads and this is what it it looks like let me know if I should be worried or will the gaskets seal it up? Thans in advance. Also the injectors where flow tested at 43.5 psi and they all where 25lb/hr, I thought the 8.1 non-marine injectors flowed at 32lb/hr. Also what psi should I set the fpr on the fuel rails for the setup.

If I'm not mistaken, our systems are supposed to operate at 58psi. Not sure if the fact that you changed the rails would change the pressure requirement. I'd like to see a solid answer to your question as well.
Did you check the level against another true surface? And what does the level look like across the other runner ports? If nothing else, I'd contact FAST with some pics to be 100% sure.

The other runner ports are fine, I the cleareance is the thickness of a business card folded once. And did not try any other tru surface.

once the intake bolts are torqued down it would probably seal. I know it's some pretty stout plastic but I imagine once the heat gets to it, it'd straighten out permanently. If you do decide to use it maybe just check the torque every once in a while for the first few hundred miles.

On second thought, if I were paying that much for an intake, I'd expect it to be perfect.

Yeah im going to call FAST when they open. I was going to install this intake this friday on my 7 day long change and before the wife gives birth to our baby which is due Sept 5. But if they tell me to send it in then this will put a dampner on it. Also should I have gotten the injectors flow tested at the psi we operate them at, I have some 8.1s that flowed 25.8 lb/hr at 43.5 psi.

Talk with FAST and the guy recomeneded to take the upper shell off, torque the lower shell and then reinstall the upper shell with the proper torque sequence. Since the actual gap is minimal but with the heat cycle and proper torque sequence I think it should be fine.

I wouldn't worry at yes those will flow more at the higher psi.

So What psi should I set my fpr to? Is it the 58.5 psi?

Good to hear about the intake. Personally, I'd ask him to send that to you in an email. Just incase something goes wrong and you need proof that one of their employees told you to use it.
Yes, 58 PSI is what they should be at.

Ran into a snag. I have to get the steam vent tube parts on order. And the filter for the fuel pump. So truck is stripped down and waiting.
