Recently put a 2002 5.3 in my 86 K5. Runs great and i love it. Got ac working now but vents are stuck due to no vacumn source. What's wrong with drilling a hole in the truck intake and epoxying a fitting? is there any location i should stay away from. I don't see any ports except the brake booster.

I would at least tap a hole and stay away from epoxy... just my two cents. Or the way i would really tackle it would be to get a tee and tie in to the same port as the brake booster.
The brake booster fitting would be difficult to tie into. I have since found a fitting on the ps of the truck manifold that must be for optional use. It is molded with a break off tab. When u break it off, the barbed port is exposed.
You got it! Can also be used for a trans modulator.
On that same note,how about tying in for a vac guage with a car manifold? Would a tee fitting on the brake booster give an accurate reading,or is there a better place? Thanks.
