Silver lake sand dunes Michigan.

So I think the wife and I are gonna head up to the dunes in a couple weeks for a getaway. You can buy a day pass to drive your own vehicle there which I have been thinking about for a while . I have never drove on sand before and with me not having the right gears or right converter to get into the power band I'm hesitant. I planned on just taking the tires to 20 psi shutting all the track and stabilitrack off and giving it hell in 4 high. I could also Rent a jeep for 400 bucks and all the wear would be on that but i would really like some pictures of my truck at the top of the dunes. Anyone from that area and have any travel or dune tips feel free to chime in

I am living in Michigan and after talking to guys here they say they aren't too bad. You better have a backup plan if you get stuck tho.

20 psi or lower for sure. And 4 hi will just smoke the Trans. In sand, 4 low only. Will run 45+ mph and that's already too fast with stock suspension, unless on just flat smoothe sand. I took my stock dmax up some huge dunes in glamis with no issue.
