Damn I'd love to hit this event up. What all is required to participate in this? This is the type of event I want to get my truck set up for.
Well this is a first for me, I'll be racing my Dirtbike - hell of a long race at 5 40 mile laps but I'm looking forward to toughing it out, just hope I don't run out of gas
Just check the link and they have several other links that outline the rules and requirements, you may have more fun racing the RZR to begin with. There's a few races going on that will be much closer to you come September at the Baja Racing Texas ranch. http://www.bajaracingtexas.com/ check this place out too http://www.texanaoffroad.com/
I took a quick look at that website and was wondering if they offer anything as far as sand dune racing here in east Texas? I would really love to go see some of these events.
East Texas? There's not enough open area to hold a race like this out there, 5 - 40mile laps in the desert. There's a few places in South Texas around Austin and San Angelo hold similar events.
I was just hoping they may have a beach run or something down by the coastal areas. Not expecting something as long as that but I guess its just wishful thinking.
Next event will be the Chupacabra 300 at the Texana Ranch. I would highly suggest going to see this if you're up to high speed shenanigans in the dirt. The race last weekend was awesome. Same place next year but they're adding more to make it a full 100 mile lap. The majority of the property is BLM and other state owned land backed up to the King Ranch. I'll be headed back here for a ride come October.
