Radiator for Lm7 swap
Contacted Griffin radiators for a radiator. I'm looking for one for my 95 GMC Sierra. I would like to have the openings on the passenger side as well as the trans connections. Also want electric fans, wiring. They quoted $ 1050 for everything. Does that sound like a good deal or is there somewhere else that I can try shopping?

why not get an e-fan harness from Nelson & run a factory radiator?
i had to get a new radiator today & i only paid $140 for it with both the oil & trans cooler ports.
& the Nelson harness is under $200.

I am going to use my stock radiator.Right know it cools a 383 with 425 hp so it will have no problem cooling the 5.3

If I were to use my stock radiator (from 95 GMC), will I have to trim the top fan shroud in order to hold down the radiator? Where is a good place to buy the fans? One other thing, Nelson Performance can't help me with a Cali emmisions harness, Current performance can, but it will take 2 months to get it. S&P can do it for I believe, $986. I haven't asked S&P how long will they take. Painless doesn't have. Any other places for a Cali harness?

what is different in the harness?

you shouldn't have to trim anything if your using the stock radiator from the same truck. i bought my fans of ebay for $75 shipped, but i see them on the local craigslist all the time from $50-$100.
maybe the difference in the harness is wiring for emissions crap?

The California harness has all the emmisions "crap" on it, the other ones don't. I want to stick to the stock radiator, but the upper fan shroud is ugly, thats why I mentioned trimming it. If I can't trim it, is there a bracket or something to hold the radiator in place? Will any of the electric fans be able to mount to my stock radiator? Any good brands?

if you're using e-fans you don't need the factory shroud & the radiator & shroud mount separately. as far as mounting the e-fans you'll probably have to make some mounting tabs/brackets.
