I have bypassed my rad when installing the trans cooler on my 2008 Chevy and I though I went with a huge cooler the biggest one summit sell but it will still climb up to 190's should I go through the rad too ???

where did you put the cooler?
Going through the rad is not a bad thing. Go through the rad then through the cooler.
GM engineers that are much smarter than most of us put it in there for a reason.
He put it infront of the ac condincer, the guy who built my tranny told me to run it this way. But the op said his was running at factory temp, so I'm kinda scared thinking I need to re rout it too.
driving 70 this morning on the toll road i hit 155 and its 66 outside but in the afternoon when its 80-85 it will climb up to 190???? and input would be nice.....
guess you never had a internal trans cooler blow and take out a built trans?
yeah they may be smarter but they design around everyday driving ( speed limits ) not road racing or track racing, theres a difference ;)
i had one blow just to have to send back a brand new FLT trans
No I have not had one blow.
I assumed he wasn't driving a race truck, but could be wrong.
That would suck to send one back from a faulty radiator.
The theory behind it is that there is no better heat transfer than liquid to liquid. If you had the air cooler only and were to tow you could really be in a world of hurt. The heavier loads and slow speed would be all bad.
Tell us more about the truck this is on.
It's on a 08 rcsb with 5.3 I just was upgrading it so when I do my stall but if don't have a stall and it's still getting up to 190 idk what to do
