4l80e question

so i finally got my 4l80e into my 99 sierra and go all the bugs worked out. now the only wierd thing is when i manually downshift the truck from D it hits 3rd and whem i gp to 2nd it doesnt grab gear it feels like neutral. but if i step on it is it 2nd gear because is revs until it hits the rpm for the speed im going. and 1st gear downshifts perfect like 3rd.... what would make just 2nd gear do that???? in D it upshifts and everytrhing fine. hopefully not time for a rebuild already........LOL

just leave it in D and quit screwing with it :lol: you guys worry to damn much.

So you're saying it doesn't have engine braking in manual 2nd. Its something with your overrun clutch circuit probably. Don't worry about it. I didn't have overruns in my old 60e for awhile, downshifting just doesn't slow you down.

yeah d works thats all i really care about haha just figured its something else i did wrong haha
