Camshaft

I have 5.3 gmc carbon steel block aluminum head sierra. I would like to put a camshaft into it and was wondering what brand was the best bang for my buck and where in couold locate it. Any help to a newb would be appreciated.

first off you dont have a carbon steel block, you have a cast iron block ;)

you plan on any other supporting mods? what are you wanting to achieve with the cam shaft of choice?

most cams are ground by comp, but theres plent of brands out there.

I'd get an Isky cam custom spec'ed by "stock48" on performancetrucks.net...
