no, fish it out.
How? Will it come out the drain plug?
Use a magnet pen or drop the pan you can't leave it unless you want problems.
Pan will be easy to drop if ur truck is equipped with a removable front crossmember.
Definitely don't leave it. The crank can throw it around inside the block and cause all kinds of damage. Might be able to remove the front cover and fish it out of the pan with a magnet.
I'm doing a cam swap an droped it. Ima go get a magnet an try to get it out. Would it come out if I drain the oil?
no. With any luck it did not go down into the oil sump. You may have to loosen the oil pan bolts and lower it down. Taking the whole pan off if you don't have the removable xmember under the pan is a PITA but can be done with a ton of work. Try the magnet first.
