I traded my 99 silverado for a 2005 Silverbirch SS 2wd and I already have 250 miles. How many miles should I have before I tune it? I have the pacesetter longtubes on the way and should be here monday!
Should I wait to break it in more?

Only reason to wait would be if you wanted to do a baseline dyno run on it before installing the tune. I would do that just for grins. Be sure you always run on the same dyno for comparisons.
You may have to wait for the 05 driver for the PCM to come out. As far as I know Nelson does not have the drivers yet and does not have a tune ready for the 05. Thats for the LM7.
I have been ready to tune my 05 since brand new. Still waiting.
Jeff
i waited 30 miles to do mine
yesterday
Has anyone received the 05 tune from Nelson yet. Last I heard he did not have whatever it takes to do the tuning on the O5
PCMforless has the 05 tune. Anyone have any experience with them?
according to the hptuners web site the 05 truck tuning is available. where is ol allen? :taunt:
Where is Allen? Better yet where is the 05 tune? I see Westers sucks so that may not be the tune to get. PCMforless has the 05 tune. Has anyone tried these guys. Is this a no no to even ask that on this site? :duh:
yep...it's a :nono: :nono: jeff...you know allens tunes are the best :hshake: he tuned my '05 so im guessing he can tune your as well now
Ok Ok Alton, your right. I guess I need to get allen on the ball and get my tune in. He keeps telling me he is not ready to tune the 05 5.3 LM7.
Help me twist his arm. I am missing the old 6.0 and the tune. I think the LM7 will wake up well once the tune is in.
The company purchased me an 05 SBEC Charcoal grey all factory options. Just put the paint match low profile bed cover on. On this truck I will only do tune and cat back exhaust.
Thanks Alton for keeping me in line  :hshake:
