Truck won't downshift...
On the free way the truck won't downshift. I can usually run 2200 rpms at 65mph but it likes to ride in drive and do about 2500 rpm at 65. It's reall annoying especially if I want to run around 70 then it revs higher. The only way to get her to down shift is to slow down to about 55 and then it drops down and then I can speed back up. Sometimes when I'm running in over drive and come up to a down hill the truck up shifts on it's own and then it won't downshift. Annoying.
Don't know if this matter but the ses light comes on and flashes when I take my foot off the accelerator and then goes off around 65. It also comes on if I'm coasting downhill like the other day I was towing my boat and I let up off the accelerator and gained speed going down hill and the ses light came on flashing. As I hit the accelerator it went off. Really weird stuff. I don't feel any miss or stumble in the motor.
2002 silverado 2500HD 6.0 4WD. Have had fuel pump replaced, plugs and wires. Cold air intake and exhaust. Not much but figured I'd note it. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your converter isnt locking/unlocking correctly, prolly ready to take a dump on you, also the ses isnt a big deal.....unless its flashing that means pullover

OP has a flashing MIL per 1st post so listen to "changes name often" above and pull over until you find the cause of the misfire. Not sure about the potential transmission issue but it might be less fatal than the misfire that needs fixed first.
