1999 5.3 to 6.0 swap.

so i am in the process of getting the 6,0 into my 1500. found out the engine i bought has the long crank in it so i cant bolt it up to the tranny in the truck. so i need to swap the 4l60e for a 4l80e. i just am wondering if the transfercase off the 60e will bolt to the 80e??? trying to save all the money i can. THANKS

maybe you could locate a newer 6L crank and swap them out. Also an excellent time to add some ARP rod bolts.

No the output shaft of the 4L80e is different than the 4L60e. The input on the transfer case can be changed in most cases.
