Which 5.3s Came With EGR Delete?

I'm doing an emissions legal 5.3 conversion. Before I purchase the ECU, which Vortec 5.3 powered GM trucks came with EGR delete? I know the 2003 Tahoe has EGR delete but I was hoping for something earlier...in the 1999 to 2001 range. Was there such a truck in that era?

not sure about the trucks but i know the 02 F-bodies came without EGR.

From what I remember they didnt do away with the EGR till 03 in the trucks. Not hard to do on your own though.

02 doesn't have it.

Does anyone know when the ECU became VIN number specific? I want to avoid that ECU. It would just confuse our inept emissions system. I hoping to find a model year ECU that eliminates EGR and is NOT VIN number specific.
