Felt my first earthquake today. On the third floor of a building just outside of DC. Thought the whole damn thing was gonna fall down on us. Good times. Thanks Obama

I always wanted to experience what one felt like, not that I wanted and death or destruction to come to anyone, but think it would cool to see how one felt.
Yeah they r saying no one got hurt so I chalk it up to a cool first time experience for many.
We had a decent sized one here last year but I didn't feel it. Looks like we're turning into a hotspot

I heard from NY people that since it just shook a little it was kinda cool and fun
Can't believe I missed it!
Seen this a thousand times already, still funny. In all actuality tho, we did sustain some damage throughout the region. The Washington Monument is closed indefinitely because of a crack near the top, and the National Cathedral's spires broke clean off. Did work in St Paul's Episcopal church (built in the 1850's) on the day after the quake and they are going to have their hands full with all the structural damage in that building. Kinda sad really, it's a landmark
