4l60e went boom... ideas whats wrong?

I got on the throttle to pass a truck and after i was around the truck mine shifted then went boom and would just rev up. it wont move in any gear just revs up. got any ideas on whats wrong? i havnt had any problems out of the transmission since its been rebuilt a year ago.

When that happened to me we opened it up and the rotor was shattered from the converter being pushed too far into the pump. I've also seen the dogs inside the pump break off.

i hope its not too expensive ha. rear end is still okay. be way better with some 3.90s and tru trac

Luckily was able to salvage the pump. Needed a 3-4 clutch pack if that sounds right and a new rotor. I think it's a 13 vein.

I have some good used 13 vane rotors if you want one. Just pay me the shipping.

+1 on the pump, same thing happened too me

you might have snaped ur input shaft. had that happen 3 times in my 02 silvy. went to pass a guy and BANG no more go. does it still move in park?
