4x4 1984 s10 blazer front axle and transfer case help!!

truck has 2.8 v6 right now that is on its last life and the differential fluid is all over the bottom of the car and im pretty sure the transfer case is busted as well. at this point you say bring it to the junk yard and get some bux for it but it was my uncles and i intend to fix it and give it to my mom so thats not happening. but basically i have a good 4.3 v6 from my '90 2wd blazer im putting a ls1 in along with a good transmission and i want to see what kind of axle and transfer case I should get to make the truck more reliable because my mom does live in idaho where it gets necesary to have that 4x4 and I live in california so I am not gonna be there to fix it for her unless its at the holidays haha.

Wouldn't the regular stock 1990 4x4 axle and transfer case work? That 4.3 is such a reliable engine, you just can't kill them things if you try. Very nice of you to do that for your mother, not many people these days are able to help out their families because their lives need so much help, plus Mothers day is coming :ma:
