turn key on(don't crank the truck), turn them off, start truck, after motor idles down turn on and drive off. works like a champ and the hid's will always be at full power
One of mine keep giving me trouble so I replaced the ballast problem solved.
Try a relay harness. If that doesn't work could be a bad bulb or ballast. Switch the ballast to the opposite side to see if the problem follows the ballast or the bulb.
I had a similar problem and ended up with a burnt out bulb on the passanger side. So after i got replacement bulbs, I started to set the parking brake before I start the truck and then disengage it once the truck is started and it works perfectly. Or like stated above you can get a relay harness.
why would you need a relay harness for a hid head light swap? your oem halogen's draw around 55 watt's per bulb and most generic hid kits draw 35 watt's per bulb. So its 70 watts for 2 hid bulbs vs 110 watts for halogen's. my vote ballast
