Just looking for some stock cats for my ol'truck. I dont really want to spend any money and max performance isnt my chief concern. Just want to get some newer cats with fewer miles on them, which will have to be a far cry from the high mileage mammoth of a converter thats on it now. So, i know the chances are slim, but if any of you guys are upgrading to some aftermarket cats and your stockers dont have too many miles, i would really appreciate it if you could hang on to them for me instead of giving them to the muffler shop.

then why dont you get carsound cats. they are cheap and they flow well.

hey eric....junk yards are your next option......
-
It's against federal law to sell used cats in a junk yard. Salvage yards all over Dallas/FtWorth informed me of that when I needed some. I went to the local F-body hotrod shop and dug a pair out of their trash pile for free. They said I could have all of their trash for free.

Oh my god Red, your such a junkie, just like me.

Thanks guys, i had no idea that junk yards couldn't sell them? umm? learn'd summp'n i guess. :duh: Well, i have had several buddies tell me they threw theirs in the trash from Fbodies etc.., just trying to intercept some that might be on the way. Thanks again

if ya take ur old cats to scrap yards youll get 20 to 25 bucks for them cause they contain plautim, some times though the scrap yard will try to rip u off and just give u 10 bucks but lol just say well i brought cats to yall before and you gave me 25 or 20, they may call you jipces but lol its worth it hahahahaha

I hear the new cats don't use platinum anymore. The old cats in the 70s, 80s and early 90s did.
