6.0 rebuild
so i have a 2002 ccsb 2500hd that dropped the valve in #7 cylinder so i decided it was a good time for a rebuild. i am doing mostly stock with a cam upgrade for low end towing torq i was looking at a comp cam 54-408-11 with matching springs. but what i was wondeing is if the stock cam out of the 6.2 escalade and some ls6 springs would help out at all. any input would be appriciated

Better off with a custom grind cam for more low end. They're only 25$ more.

No no on the 6.2 stuff. Just doesn't jive, VVT and one bolt cam gear instead of your 3. I'd run this cam, http://www.engpwrsys.com/index.php?a...od&productId=5, the EPS lobes you don't need to go massive to get the power, and that would be an excellent bottom end DD cam.

The boys at Texas speed recommended the comp cams 212/218 lsx high lift cam when I contacted them about a build almost identical to yours. Personally I believe the EPS cam may be a bit big for regular towing with a stock converter and the lower compression of an LQ4.
