This thread has a lot of good info on the swap you are doing. As for the tranny stuff, you are going to have to give more info as to what type of tranny you are using, whether it is a 4x4, and anything else you can think of. A lot of data on your swap will help get you the answers you desire.
the truck is a reg cab currently has a 5.7. it is four wheel drive and has a regular 5 speed nothing like a granny low or anything. new to these older truck never owned anything older then a 2000 before. this truck was my grandfathers when he passed it was left to me.
no one?
This is what I did for a 5.3http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/lsx-t...0-5-speed.html
thanks alot. that is pretty much what i needed to know. what motor mounts did you use? also who did your harness and pcm? and if i read this correct the only part ill need ot buy is motor mounts adapt the fuel lines and by a new 4.8 manual fly wheel? thanks in advance
I made my own mounts and done my own harness with the help of lt1swap.com he did my pcm tho. depends on what kind of fuel rails you have (have you done a search?) you may have to add a return line. On mine I used compression fittings Their good for 200 or 300 Psi IDK why others not doing this but so far has worked fine for me
how did you configure the a/c to work ? this is about the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on this one
For the AC what im going to do is get an AC bracket from an 90's model Astro van and cut to fit the front of my motor using my AC set up. There is a wright up some where on it.
