Gear Ratio Advice or suggestions

My 06 Tahoe 4wd has a stock 5.3 with a nelson tune,and I want to change the gear ratio. I have 35-12.50 /22 tires.At 60 mph my rpm is at 1450, it has the stock 3.42 gears now and I was thinking about 4.56 or 4.88s.The 4.56 gear will be at 1850 rpm at 60, while the 4.88 will be at 1920 rpms.

Any suggestions?

Do the rpm calculations for 80...not 60

I have 35's on my truck now (bought gears when i was running 36's) and at 80, I was sitting at like 2800 RPM.

I personally think 4.56 is perfect if you want performance gears. If you want something more realistic, somewhere between 4.10-4.56 (there is one in the middle, I can't remember what it is).

With my 36's and 4.56 gears, I can still spin the tires pretty easily. Bigger tires don't do so well on traction

4.88's would work well considering all the weight your trying to move.
