ls in 85 shortbox??????

hey there new guy here!!! alright so im planning to put a ls either 5.3 or 60 in my shortbox, i wanna do a budget swap/build, i have and idea on the basics for the swap, but wanna know what the best bang for buck engine upgrade on a budget lets say i have the engine and the pars for the conversion, i wanna spend 1,500,2000 on the motor to make it a lil more powerful, what do you guys reccomend?? cam? car style intake? headers? lookin to see what you guys reccomend and wheres the best place to find these parts?

which trans you goin to run?

Cam is the best bang for the buck, and milled 243 heads. If you shop around you can do both within your budget.

not sure what trans im gonna use yet the truck has a 700r4 in it right now might up grade to a 4l60 if i can find one for the right price

Go to a th400 or 4L80e and send me the $800 you were going to waste on a POS 60e. :)

haha im gonna stick with an overdrive, a 4l80e would be sweet but we will have to see what the budget allows for this year,
