After looking at all the other amazing vehicles on here I was hesitant to make my own page, but to me even though its not much Id like to think Ive done somewhat better progress to my ride than it was the day I bought it. Which was Feburary 28th, 2007 and this was it: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i5...0004_large.jpg A 2006 RCSB Silverado 4.3 w/t. Not the cheapest cheapest, it does have the automatic transmission, am/fm/cd player (now replaced thanks to Alpine) and cruise control. :woot1: I would have bought an ECSB with the 6.0 vortec max or even 5.3 would of been nice but due to my age at the time combined with no credit and not much income I was desperate for wheels, but I was still picky. To me Ive always been around GM cars and trucks, well except for when I used to live with my brother in Arkansas who had an obsession for the infamous rotary engines in his 86 Mazda Rx-7. I say engines because in the 3 years I lived with him I helped him replace not one not two but yes, 3 13b motors from his car. Not my fault he had a heavy foot and too much air, not enough fuel raito... anyways with that said and had nothing to do with my truck I always liked GM trucks they all were designed well had plenty of power and were reliable (to most people) so I wanted a GM truck. When I found mine I saw how plain it was but I also saw alot more. Ive always liked messing with things to make them "better" to my liking at least. :luv: So when I took her home it didnt take long for me to start blowing money on her, and the first thing I bought... was some fuzzy dice. :rock: My boss had bought some new rims for his 06 GMC and I asked to buy his old ones from him so I did, added some headlight tint and this is how it looked a couple months later: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i5...006_medium.jpg http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i5...009_medium.jpg Then came a vertical billet grill and chrome bow-tie, but I didnt like all the chrome so I had my step dad paint it black. I was fortunate to have him when I got into my wreck but I'll get to that soon enough.

Anywho after that I had moved a town over so I put my customizing brain on hold until I had something come up that took my and my truck from Lake Charles, Louisiana to Portland, Oregon. I was born in Portland, but raised alot of places, one place being Lake Charles, and thats why Im here today (another long story). Anyways I had to drive up there in April of 09 because my mother had passed away a couple years before and she was living there at the time. Because I had no way to get up there right away my aunt had placed her belongings in a storage but decided after a few months of renting the storage I had to find a way to get up there and get everything before they auction off my mothers belongings. Not going to happen I said so I took both 2 weeks vacation I get a year and headed out. Took me 2 days 9 hours to get there and about 3 days 2 hours to get back. I rented a small uhaul to carry as much as I could (only thing left behing was an old bed frame and tv stand) and ever since that I dont think I could ever sell my truck, she made it there and back without a single problem. I was trying to find some pics I took during the trip but Im having trouble finding them.

Yes sir, I see alot of RCSB's around where I live but most are ragged out now.. shame too because I know some of them could be nice rides.

After I was done with that I was a little behind on my finances so it took another 6 months before I finally wanted to spend more money on it so I bought a K&N open air filter, a folding center console (ebay!) some new taillights and my neighbors 20' Sierra Denali rims so there I was looking better but broke again. I also had my step dad smoke my taillights which came out awesome :hyper2: For fun I also sanded down my stock bumper (the grey part only) and painted it gloss black from the local auto parts store, wasnt show car finish but it looked better than flat grey! Then after a couple more months I got greedy again, bought some mirror covers, a smooth paintable front bumper cap and clear headlights (no more orange!) Like I said my step dad is a painter so I prepped my bumper cap along with my grille and he painted everything lol this was the result: http://www.gmtruckclub.com/forum/att...chmentid=12983
Oh and I also added some painted bucket/chrome door handles :)

Oh did I forget to mention I had pin striped my bow tie red? :LOL:

So yes I was devistated but at least noone was hurt except for a stiff neck the next couple days, but in an attempt to try and make me feel better my step dad offered to do some more painting that he was supposed to do.. http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i5...edownload5.jpg That was on the frame machine, bent the front left one down, and I mean down.. instead of him just getting a new bumper cap painted, he painted the whole new bumper chrome and all to match, plus I had him paint some interior pieces for me too so I was feeling better after that :) When they told me I could come pick it up I was impressed and pissed off at the same time: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i5...d/IMG_0401.jpg Notice anything different? They put a 03-05 hood on my 06, looked funky if you know what to look for plus they took a chunk of paint where the pointed tips touch my grille. I thought it was a goner for sure.. So after a few more months I added a painted taligate handle from the local chevy parts dealer, a led taillight strip, and a street scene tailgate cap and mirrors, so that pretty much took care of everything I wanted painted on my truck, right? Thats one good lookin truck! I love the NBS styling, and the look you went with. Also diggin the dice, first thing I bought when I got a car too :LOL:
