can i put this engine in my truck??

so i have a 2008 5.3 Tahoe engine that i put in my 95 astro and love the power that i have now, well i just bought another astro for a daily driver and i can get a good deal on a LS4 from a 2008 impala and was wondering if a 4l60e will bolt up to it? i know i have to change the exhaust but other than that what do you guys think?

No. LS4 is mounted sideways.

i know its mounted sideways, i can still mount it and put a rear wheel trans on it

I haven't seen it done..

i was just wondering if a 4l60 would bolt up to it, i thought the blocks are the same

This thread here says that normal GM v8 RWD 4l60s will not work. The bolt pattern is different. It is possible that the bellhousing from a 3800 v6 will work.
