ls s10
i posted this here because i will add my progress here later. im finishing up my 5.3 swap in my s10.
My question is i have a chance to get a comp cam for $50 but not to sure bout the numbers
its 3712r/3717r
from what i have looked up its 0.563/0.571 218/228 114
just wondering if this would be a good cam for a stock 5.3 4l60e setup. right now its on the stock stall
and rearend. once i post the vid on here you will see.
plans are a 8.8 rearend, cam, nitrous, and stall.

just got the exhaust done...2 1/2 y-piped into a 3" flowmaster dumped before the axle.

where did you get that coupler for the steam vent tee into your upper radiator hose?
-
i made it. 1 1/4 steel pipe, drill a hole, welded a nut and installed a 1/4" brass fitting.

did you bead roll the steel or not?
i would try to run a real mild cam if you dont have a stall converter or supporting mods.
-
No didn't roll it, no leaks tho. I have a coupler on my 93 swapped lq4 and leak free over a year now. The cam is hard 2 pass up for $50. I plan on doing a converter and rearend later. Of course springs and push rods 4 the cam also. Its not 2 far from an ls6 cams specs

go for it bro, if your not hard core about rippin track times than there is no reason to worry about it.
