please help computer or wiring harness trouble?

i was wiring in a fuel pump after my buddy got it working again by running a ground tothe chassis.Well it stoped again so i ran a hot from the harness to the inside of the positive in the fuel tank 2001 chevy done a 6 banger swap to a 5.3 well it was overloading on gas and popping runnin like crap but i had to get to work ...well i was gonna fix it and im kinda dumb accendtly ouched the hot and ground together on the harness right by the pump ...now the wire that should be hot running from the fuse box to the harness and censor has no power unless i run a wire to the hot from the battery witch makes the fuel pump turn on but truck wont start did ib fry my computer does it need flashed ??? please help its my only truck.ohh i checked all fuses but there all good there's jst no power runnin from the grey power wire from the fuse box and computer.
