Need a hand please
So I was having an issue Tuesday on my way home from work..after passing someone on the highway at WOT I got a hell of a lifter noise...sounded like a freaking sewing machine under the hood. So I got it home and pulled the valve covers to make sure that a rocker wasn't loose or anything. So after I discovered that none were loose we made the decision to pull the heads and replace the lifters...I had a set of LS7 lifters sitting in my room already so I figured why not. Got both heads off Wednesday night in about 5 hours, which I was pretty proud of for my first time. Discovered a SLIGHTLY bent pushrod on the passenger side, that was ok too since I have a set of hardened pushrods waiting also. So last night went to get all the stuff I needed to put it back together and after discussion we decided that since it's apart it would be a good time to go ahead and replace as much as possible. So I'm looking for a decently priced cam..used or new...something I don't really need a stall for, some valve springs...would like new but if I can get some gently used springs that's fine too, and a timing chain...I'll probably just buy a new LS2 chain but if someones got one laying around that they wanna get rid of that works too.
So if anyone has anything they are willing to let go of let me know asap! I'm hoping to have it all together by Tuesday night.
